Railroad Quiet Zones

From time to time, residents ask the City to explore the option of railroad quiet zones - areas that prohibit train horns from sounding.  In 2015, the City Commission conducted a study to determine whether this would be feasible and whether it would benefit the community.  On June 17, 2015, they passed a resolution stating the reasons the City would not be implementing quiet zones. The rationale, which includes cost and liability, is in the documents below.
