The City of Plymouth Department of Municipal Services is prepared to plow all of the City's streets multiple times during the anticipated snow event that will start on Wednesday morning.  One biggest issues is how can a resident help to prevent an excessive amount of snow from ending up in their drive approach.  Here is Trent from the Department of Municipal Services with some tips: Driveway Video

We have also prepared a graphic that will help explain how to help to limit the amount of snow that is plowed into your driveway approach.

Residents and property owners are reminded not to push, shovel or blow snow back into the streets once the city has plowed the street.  This is a violation of City Ordinance and it could create a liability for the property owner as it may create a danger in the street.  Putting snow back into the street will also cause your street to look like it has not been plowed and the snow will ice up over the weekend creating additional issues.  We appreciate your cooperation.

Another suggestion is to clear the snow from the bottom of the drive approach as soon as possible. The snow is easier to move if you are able to remove it right after it has been plowed.
