The Plymouth City Commission approved the purchase of a new fire truck at the Monday, December 6 regular meeting held online via Zoom. The 2022 Rosenbauer Fire Truck will be purchased from Emergency Vehicles Plus in Milan, Michigan.

The City Commission approved a resolution of support for a grant application with the Ralph Wilson Foundation for potential improvements to the Tonquish Creek Trail. As part of the application request for $50,000 from the foundation, the City Commission approved a $5,000 match in funding for the planning and design of the potential project.

The City Commission authorized the final payment to Pro-line Asphalt Paving Corporation for the work completed on Dewey Street as part of the 2019-2020 Infrastructure Project.

The City Commission had a robust discussion on the City's proposed new five-year strategic plan. The City Commission and City administration held a joint planning session on Saturday, November 13 developing the framework for the plan. The City Commission tabled the discussion at Monday's meeting and intends to have more discussion at a future meeting prior to any approvals.

The City Commission approved the Wreaths Across America event to be held on Tuesday, December 18 at Riverside Cemetery.
