Municipal Services Annual Hydrant Flushing

Department
of Municipal Services crews will be performing their annual, routine hydrant flushing
and testing beginning today and lasting for approximately one month.
During
that time, you may experience lower than normal water pressure and/or
discolored water for a brief time. If you experience either of these
conditions, run your cold water for several minutes to flush out your
plumbing. Discoloration that may occur is due to natural minerals in the
water being stirred up in the hydrant flushing process. The water will
remain safe to drink at all times throughout this process.
