Published on Jun 24, 2021 10:17

This is advance notice of anticipated street closures on Friday, June 25 for the scheduled Music in the Air concert in Kellogg Park and Saturday, June 26 for the scheduled Michigan Philharmonic "An American Salute" concert in Kellogg Park. Concerts are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. both days.

Expected closures each day include:

-Northbound Main Street between Ann Arbor Trail and Penniman at 3:30 p.m.
-Penniman between Main Street and Union at 5:00 p.m. (temporary earlier closures may occur for concert setup)

There is the potential of additional closures during the concerts. Potential closures may include:

-Southbound Main Street between Penniman and Ann Arbor Trail
-Ann Arbor Trail in both directions between Union and Main Streets

Friday's concert performer is the Atomic Radio and the show begins at 7 p.m. Because there is limited space in Kellogg Park due to the ongoing fountain construction project, concert goers are asked not to leave chairs, blankets or other materials unattended in the park prior to 3:30 p.m. on concert days. Abandoned property in Kellogg Park will be subject to removal prior to 3:30 p.m.

After 3:30 p.m., patrons are encouraged to use the closed section of northbound Main Street as an extended seating area for the concerts.
