The Snow Emergency in the City of Plymouth is now cancelled and parking is now allowed on residential side streets.

City Department of Municipal Services has been working throughout this snow storm event and they have now completed most of the plowing activities in all of the residential neighborhoods.  All Major Streets in the City are all clear, wet and easily accessible.

Drivers and residents can expect that Municipal Services crews will continue some "clean up" activity today.   Crews are expected to return tomorrow (Wednesday) at 4:00 a.m. to do a final clean up in the Downtown area and to begin hauling large stockpiles of snow from municipal parking areas.  In addition, crews will be doing additional clean up plowing in the residential neighborhoods in order to push snow all the way to the curb line.

Residents and property owners are reminded to please do not push, plow, or blow snow back into the freshly plowed streets.  This would be a violation of city ordinance and it could create a liability for the property owner.

Solid Waste and Recycling collections will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.  Republic Services has indicated that Tuesday collections will now occur on Wednesday and the Wednesday collections will occur on Thursday.

If you have a fire hydrant near your house please make sure that there is easy clear access from the street.   Clear access will allow emergency responders to the fire hydrants in the event of an emergency.  The Fire Department appreciates your cooperation in helping to ensure fire hydrants are accessible.
