Published on Jan 26, 2021 06:09

The City of Plymouth Department of Municipal Services began work this morning at 4:00 a.m. and snow started falling at 4:15 a.m.  Crews starting treating the road surfaces as soon as the snow began to fall.  Main streets are snow and slush covered as of 6:00 a.m.

Drivers should use caution and plan extra travel time this morning.  Drivers should also use caution around salt trucks and please remember to "don't crowd the plow."  Truck operators are working hard trying to keep the roads safe and providing plenty of room for them to work is appreciated.  Check out this video on truck operations from the Department of Municipal Services.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IQAXrBuO40

Residents and businesses are reminded that snow must be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours of a snowfall.  Also, please don't push, blow or shovel snow into the streets as this could cause a liability situation for property owners.
