The Plymouth City Commission approved a final reading of the Truck Route Ordinance at its Monday, January 4, 2021 regular meeting held online via Zoom.us. Clarifications to the local ordinance were needed due to changes in state law.

The City Commission confirmed the authorization for emergency repairs to the heating system at the Plymouth Cultural Center. In November 2020, an original HVAC fluid pump failed. Repairs for the new pump totaled $10,546.77.

The City Commission authorized the Mayor to accept funds from the Wayne County Parks Tax Millage as part of the intergovernmental agreement between the City and Wayne County. The $17,749 from the Wayne County is expected to be used for a second phase of lighting improvements at Don Massey Field.

The City Commission also approved an expense of $7,416.33 to pay for an Internal Fire Academy for new City of Plymouth and City of Northville fire fighters. Costs for the academy were shared by the City of Northville.
