City of Plymouth Department of Municipal Services crews have been working during the overnight hours on applying a combination of road salt and brine mix on the city's major streets.  The city has received less than an inch of snow on top of a frozen rain mix.

As of 5:30 a.m., the city's major streets including but not limited to; Main Street, Farmer, Penniman, Ann Arbor Trail, Harvey and Starkweather have all been treated with the salt and liquid brine mix.  They are clear and wet at this time.   Residential side streets are snow/ice covered and have some slick spots.  Drivers should be aware of possible slick conditions, especially on bridges, overpasses and the Central Parking Deck.  Plan some extra time in your morning trips.

Caution is also advised for the early morning runners and walkers.  Sidewalks have some snow over a thin coating of ice and may be slippery.  Also, be sure that when walking or running in the dark that you wear reflective clothes and have some safety lighting on your jacket to help drivers see you as you cross streets.
