Still need an Absentee Ballot? 
If you have not yet received an absentee ballot and would like one mailed to you, please return your Absentee Ballot Application (which can be found online at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us or at the Plymouth City Clerk’s Office) to City Hall prior to July 31st at 5pm.
If you would rather receive your ballot in-person, please come into City Hall prior to August 3rd at 4pm. If you miss both of these deadlines and still want to vote, all polling locations will be located at the Plymouth Cultural Center on Tuesday, August 4th from 7AM to 8PM for in-person voting.

Regional Flooding Task Force Seeks Community Input through August 11
The Southeast Michigan Flooding and Resilience Task Force is asking all residents and stakeholders to share how flooding has impacted them and what kinds of resilience efforts they would like to see.

Over the past several years, communities across Southeast Michigan have seen more frequent and intense storm events, leading to widespread flooding. To support communities in addressing flooding challenges, SEMCOG has convened the Flooding and Resilience Task Force. The Task Force is working to develop a Flooding and Resilience Plan for Southeast Michigan that will support local communities as they make decisions for the future and build a path forward for investments in resilience strategies.

Results from this survey will help inform the Flooding and Resilience Plan for Southeast Michigan, supporting investment in projects that enhance flood resilience and respond to community needs.

Town Hall hosted by Canton Township for Moving Together: Western Wayne County Transit Strategy
On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 4pm – 6pm, Canton Township is hosting a Town Hall meeting at the Canton Public Library to present and answer questions on the Moving Together: Western Wayne County Transit Strategy.

This regional public transit project began in response to Public Act 236 of 2024. Recognizing the need to be proactive, Canton Township initiated efforts to partner with surrounding municipalities and retained OHM Advisors.  

During the project, we met with thousands of residents, business owners, property owners, transit enthusiasts, and other community stakeholders to better understand their current and future needs for public transit in Wayne County and connecting to the greater Southeast Michigan region.

We look forward to presenting our public transit recommendations and we hope to hear your feedback on the proposed mobility strategies, expanded fixed-routes, and implementation priorities.
