| The City of Plymouth Police Department is a multi-function agency. We strive to meet the individual needs of the citizens and visitors of the City of Plymouth. The police department provides a wide range of services to the community. The department is indeed "service oriented" to the people it serves. Employees are prepared to assist individuals from being locked out of their cars to crisis situations that may unfortunately happen. The Plymouth Community Fire Department provides Fire Suppression and Emergency Medical Services to the City of Plymouth and the Township of Plymouth. CITY OF PLYMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Plymouth Police Department is to preserve the safety of the public, promote the orderly flow of traffic, investigate reported acts of criminal activity, provide services in addition to the enforcement of laws, and protect the rights of all people. The Plymouth Police Department’s mission includes participating with other governmental entities and other agencies of the City of Plymouth to further the betterment of the community. The Plymouth Police Department exists to support and maintain the quality of life in Plymouth, and acts to develop a sense of security and well being in the residents, businesses and visitors.

This mission statement provides the framework for the establishment of Departmental goals and objectives, as periodically reviewed and updated, to further the attainment of the Department’s mission.
This Department’s personnel are the mechanism by which we attain the mission. All actions by Department employees reflect the commitment of the Department to the attainment of the mission.
