Police and Fire – Fingerprinting

 

FINGERPRINTING

 

Applicant (non-criminal) fingerprinting can be done at any time.  There is no residency requirement, however the fees increases if you are not a Plymouth City resident.  The fee for residents is $5.00, and for all non-residents of the City $15.00. (Credit cards are NOT accepted)

 

The fee is paid at the Cashier’s office for the City of Plymouth and then the Records personnel will notify an officer.

 

NEW:  LiveScan (electronically submitted) fingerprinting is now available for applicable Michigan reason codes (school employment, MI bar license, etc.)  In order to use LiveScan, you must go to a a LIVE SCAN facility.  You can contact IDENTEX at (866) 226-2952 to set up an appointment and for their locations.

When LiveScan is not applicable, traditional inked fingerprints will be taken and provided to you immediately afterwards.  Michigan State Police Applicant and Personal Identification Card RI-008 or FBI Applicant FD-258 will be provided to you, unless you provide a different card.

 

If you were fingerprinted by the City of Plymouth Police Department, and the prints were subsequently rejected, our fee will be waived if you bring in the rejected fingerprint card or the receipt previously issued.
