Outdoor wedding ceremonies have become quite popular in City parks – particularly in Kellogg Park and Cannon Park. These beautiful public spaces can accommodate nearly two thousand and 50-75 people, respectively.
We have had a number of weddings in Kellogg Park; some have been small, and others have included more than 200 guests. If you are interested in holding a ceremony in a City park, we require that you complete a Special Event Application. Please also refer to the policy for required fees. Parks do need to remain open to the public during your event; however, depending on the size of the wedding, chairs are an obvious barrier to most people.

Cannon Park (above) has a gazebo available for use and in addition to the fountain in Kellogg Park (below), a public restroom is located just off of the green next to the Gathering Pavilion. Due to the large number of events in Kellogg Park and the downtown area, obtaining a date is very important. Please review Section 12.2(f) of our Special Events Policy regarding weddings for additional information.
